Hello and welcome to BE.

Perhaps you could provide a little more information...ie what country/countries are you interested in moving to?

In the meantime I recommend you take a look in our Working Abroad by Profession Forum. We don't have a dedicated forum for carpenters but you may find the general forum helpful.

Hi, welcome to the Forum! Post again in the general Europe Section (just under the list of main countries) or click on a specific country. Btw, if you had France in mind, you'd have to be able to speak French to deal with the red-tape and communicate with potential French clients.
Good luck!

That's OK...BE is a large website so I will give you a few links to help get you started.

I see you have already posted in our Netherlands forum...we also have a General Europe forum . The link I have given you will take you to the main page of the General Europe forum...you will see a list of sub forums covering many EU countries. We have a great crowd of people posting in those forums...they will do their best to answer your questions.

If you have any problems finding your way around the many BE forums please contact one of our concierge members...they will be pleased to point you in the right direction if need be. You can find a list of their names at the bottom right hand side of this page.

If you have any problems or concerns please contact the forum mod...the mod for Portugal is Mitzyboy but if he isn't around any mod or admin will be pleased to help.

Please give me a shout if you there is anything I can help you with. Good luck.

As Concierges for the Spanish section of BE we would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let us know if you need any further help.

Rosemary and Graham
