Hi all
New to this site and forums in general, just want to introduce myself, presently looking to hopefully buy a gite business in france, probably northern France, I am a kitchen/bedroom/bathroom installer in the UK and hopefully I'll be able to transfer this over to France in some form. Though I'm guessing running a gite business would take most of my time.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
As the Welcome Inn is here for introductions, post again in the dedicated France forum (in the "Europe" section) and we'll try to advise.
When you post, let us know whether you're bringing family, what your level of French is, etc... But, whatever, be aware that you'd have to apply for a Visa before you could arrive and, unless you come over on a tourist visa and spend three months researching, you'd need to give justification of the existence of your future French business (either gîte or installer, but you wouldn't be able to do both in the same business structure). There's also the issue of your future healthcare insurance, but I'm getting carried away with details, so will stop!
See you soon in the France forum!
