Canada: Here I come!!
Hi
My name is James, I am 49 & live in Derbyshire. I am married & have 5 children. I work in a bank & also own a farm. I like cycling, walking & cooking.
My dream is to emigrate to Canada & I've had it for most of my life, & for one reason or another I've never followed my dream. Now although my life is good; but the dream of emigrating & starting all over again is as strong as ever, & next year I'll be 50, so if I am going to do it, I've got to do it sooner rather than later, & because my mother was born in Canada, I am a citizen & have a passport.
I hope to come out this year on a recce trip.

Wishing you all the best. We moved to Alberta 16 months ago and love it; no regrets whatsoever. We have children too and it's a great life for them over here.

Unless you specifically claimed citizenship in the past, ie before it came automatically on 17 April 2009, then your children are NOT Canadian citizens.
However, do you know that as soon as they arrive in Canada with permanent visas, you can apply for them to be granted Canadian citizenship, if they are still under 18.
