Australia move
Hi I am a UK police officer looking to emigrate to Australia. I have a sister living in Wollongong, NSW. I am joining this site to find out how I can go about getting residency as its a prerequisite for applying to an Australian force. Anyone able to point me in the right direction re info on this. Also would be great to hear from anyone who's done this!

Just to say Hello and Welcome to BE. I'm not in Australia but it certainly sounds like a good move. I just love Aussies.
I think the Concierges from the Australian section should be around soon to guide you. May be a bit quiet due to Christmas/NY holidays. The Australia section of BE is a very very busy section so I'm sure you'll find the information you are looking for.

Not in NSW, and not a police officer but have you looked at the Police section of the site? http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=79 there should be lots of info in there for you.
Also check out the immigration section of the Australia forums http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=32 you may be able to get some specific info from there if you let people know a little about yourself and your situation? or even just do a search and see what comes up.
