Hi there,
I am considering a move to Menorca. I currently live in Ibiza with my partner. We love Ibiza but are leaning towards the idea of a slightly quieter lifestyle and in terms of property, I believe we can get alot more for our money!....

I used to visit Menorca as a young child and remember the landscape was beautiful and very much like Ibiza.... However I have not been for many years and would like to find out what the lifestyle would be like.

My queries are this:

I have my own business but my partner is a captain - I believe there is quite a demand for boat charters etc. for clients in the summer, so hopefully he would be okay to find work? Where are the busiest marinas fro this?

Is the Island as seasonal as Ibiza? Most of Ibiza is on shut-down for winter apart from the main towns - This is not a problem, I just want to find out how lively it can/cannot be.

Rental properties - Is it quite easy to get a yearly rental in Menorca?

I personally love a more traditional way of spanish life.. the food, people, the music etc (this is becoming more difficult to find in Ibiza due to tourism and the super rich invading!)... Am I right in thinking I would be far more likely to stumble across some flamenco & spanish guitar in Menorca.... Been looking 3 years where I currently live!

All in all.... I love Ibiza - the sun, the lifestyle, but would ldeally like to find a cheaper and quieter version with a little more culture to it - im thinking Menorca could be the place..

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Menorca is lovely! Been there many times. Ibiza is lovely, too, but I prefer Menorca.
