Hi I am currently living in Derry, Northern Ireland although I am Scottish. I am considering running a bar in Benidorm, nothing too large just enough to get bye, and I will need to rent an apartment also, can anyone let me know the going rate for renting a 1 bed apartment in Benidorm, I've seen apartments in Finestrat but as I've not been there I do not know how easily I could commute to Benidorm every day, returning late at night. Apart from renting the apartment what else would be included i.e. Rates.

Could I suggest you do a search on the Spain site for information, there have been hundreds of posts etc on this theme, and the consensus is, unless you are prepared to lose your money, then don't bother. Bars are opening and closing quicker than the doors at Tesco, and people lose money hand over fist.
