Default advice needed please

hello and thank you to anyone that takes the time to read this,

i am a 28 year old man with a partner and 4 children under 7 and one on the way ! i have family that live in alhaurin el grande and i am strongly considering moving there.I rent a house in the uk for £1500 a month that is falling apart and a landlord from hell that refuses to do any repairs.I would like to move to spain long term asap rather than rent again in the uk, my family have property in alhaurin and have kindly offered us an apartment until we are settled, i am concerned about finding work there and also whether this is the best decision for my childrens future ! i would appreciate any advice ~ thank you ~ Richard

Welcome Richard

Pop on over to the Spanish forum http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=75

You would need to let them know what sort of work you would be looking for so they have a bit more information on how to advise you

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! I see that you have posted in the Spain forum - please don't ignore the advice given. You may have free accommodation, but with 5 children's welfare to consider, you'll have to earn a lot of money just to feed and clothe them. Even if you speak Spanish fluently, you'll have stiff competition from bilingual Spaniards in your field of work. Will your partner be hoping to earn?
I actually live in France but the work situation is as dire as in Spain and it would be foolish to advise you to go for it, with your family responsabilities. This isn't want you want to hear and your family, while encouraging you, probably doesn't realise all the implications in your particular situation.
At least the Spain members have given you realistic food for thought, and fore-warned is fore-armed!
