Default 30 years in Spain

Hello everyone! I was born and raised in London and came to live in Galicia when I was 16. Had an extremely hard time adapting and spent most of the following 15 years suffering from depression and worse stuff I'm not going to get into right now. Why didn't I go back? Family and having fallen in love etc... I've always had a Spanish passport but, when I came to Spain I wanted to go for dual nationality but didn't because doing so I couldn't apply for any scholarships.
My question is whether it's still possible to acquire dual nationality or not. I've always managed to travel freely back to London but I'm now worried due to all this brexit business.

Thank you all very much for taking the time to read this.

Hello, James

Is there something that we can assist you with? Can you tell us a little about yourself, i.e. where you are, where you are planning on moving to, etc.? Once you get back to us, we will do all we can to help you with your needs.

Hi, and welcome.
If you were born in the UK before 1/1/1983, with some exceptions, you are a British citizen and entitled to a British passport.
