They're watching the 12 hour Superbowl marathon, I hear it gets an audience of 270 Billion people, although that may have been an exaggeration

I guess I could stand it alot easier if I lived about 30 minutes away from say Gruff, AWP, Ray or Thydney and could nip out to a pub twice a week for a few pints and a game of darts and actually talk about stuff that goes right over the natives heads. Alas I am stuck here in this cultural desert with only Mrs.R to have a sensible conversation with (BE members excluded).

If the wife and kids gave me the nod I'd sell up and book the flights right now.

The superbowl is on in my house right now (although I'm not watching it because I'm on my pc!). Have to admit, good choice on the half time entertainment though!

Agreed. Gotta give old Mick his due, he might have a face like a wrung out chamois leather but he can still get a crowd going.

If I get asked why I'm not watching the Superbowl one more time, I may scream

Kids have it on in the lounge here, they are getting into these US sports so I just grin and bear it for their sakes but I'm relegated to the kitchen table because I am sick of hearing the old "Superstars" theme and looking up expecting to see Brian Jacks or Kevin Keegan.

It would be worth it to see the former get sent off, the commentator could say "Brian Jacks off"

Get yer arse down here. Me, Ray and Thydney all live within a shout or so of each other.

And Gruff can come too.
