Do you have a route to a visa for the US or are you a US citizen?

If you've never been there, how do you know you'd like it? Perhaps see if you could get your parents to try a holiday there first and then if you like it start planning towards a move when you are an adult? It takes good education, and specialist skills to qualify for a visa (unless you are already a US citizen as above), so start working towards that and hopefully in 10-15 years time it can become a reality.

Good luck.

You can't move to the US because you feel like it. The US does not have freedom of movement with any other country unlike the EU.

If you do not qualify for a visa, which at 14 unless your parents live there you probably do not, then you have no route to live and work in the US at the moment.

Look at the Student approach - so a couple of years for you yet. Most College's have some sort of International Programme - you might find an equivalent in the Netherlands that has partnerships as well, allowing you to spend 6 months, a year, maybe more abroad continuing your studies.

Never mind college, high schools have them too. Usually it is a semester in a foreign country.

Honestly, feel this is a windup as no 14 year old can be that stupid as to think they can emigrate to a foreign country alone without a means to financially support themselves. Unless they are a model or actor, they can't get a work permit and even MacDonald's won't hire a 14 year old to sling burgers.

The Netherlands does have some much lower age related laws than other countries, so you never know, but the "berry" bit might suggest troll.

Errr... if the poster is from the Netherlands ( assuming this is not a troll) then i think they already can write "English" as well as a lot of British 14 year olds !

Such as? You can't drive until you're 18. The age at which you could by 'soft alcohol' (beer/wine) was raised from 16 to 18 a couple of years ago as was the age to buy cigarettes. Age of consent is 16 but NL has by far the lowest rates of teen pregnancies in Europe, if not the world, and the average age at which NL teens lose their virginity is 18.5, older than many other EU countries. You must be over 18 to enter a coffeeshop/buy weed or 'legal highs'. So I'm not quite sure what you are talking about.

Definitely think the OP is a troll though. Most Dutch 14 year olds' English is better than the average American's.
