Yeah... this is where I've been!
I can't believe I've been MIA for so long, but I blame my addictive personality!
I joined a gym near my house after Christmas because last year I quit smoking and thought getting in better shape would be a nice follow up!
Two friends of mine also joined and before we knew it we were addicted.
I started on the treadmill walking for 30 minutes every morning and then dping resistance training for half an hour with a trainer, for 2 weeks.
At the end of the second week I thought I'd speed the treadmill up and see how long I could run without collapsing... (the treadmill also tells you how far you've run/walked. It took a few days but I finally did run a mile without stopping (not as easy as it sounds) and I did it in just under 12 minutes.
Then I wanted to run a mile in 10 minutes.... 2 miles in 20 minutes etc. etc.
Now I'm lifting weights, taking Body Pump and Body Sculpt classes. You should feel my bum! ô¿~
It's so much fun and I have never had so much energy. I'm getting a mountain bike for my birthday in May and can't wait to go for long rides with my kids.
I missed you lot and had a few reported posts so I thought I'd pop in.
I work out from 8:30 untill 10, so now I'm going to squeeze in some computer time too!
What have I missed?

Well done! I wish i could do what you're doing. I can't seem to stick to the gym, it's really lonely and nervewracking when you're on your own. But you've inspired me to give it another go.......
