Working Illegally in the States
I'm sure there is a thread on this but I couldn't find it. I would like to visit the states for a few months, either East or West coast but would be unable to to pay for myself for the whole trip.
How easy is it to get work in a bar or something, cash in hand or for accommodation? I know it's risky but I'm really keen to get away from London......

Sounds like it would be a bit of a shit trip anyways. If you're illegal chances are you'd get paid less so would have to work more just to pay rent which isn't my idea of fun. There's already plenty of illegals over here and there's a recession so I wouldn't hold your breath about getting a job even if you were legal.

That only works if you're Irish if you are visiting the NE area, i.e. NYC. If you're a Brit the Irish will probably run ya out of the pub and the busboy jobs go to the hispanics.
