First of all Paul, If people really thought that, then you wouldn't have the numbers you do, and if people whom did get pissed off for that reason, then you don't want them here anyhow.

Unlikely.
I have my own inbuilt ad-blocker that cannot be stopped: My inherent distrust and hate for marketing. I have actually become so accustomed to seeing banner ads on virtually every website over the years I subconciously filter them out and only rarely even notice them. Even pop-ups get automatically dismissed without barely a thought. I read something about that somewhere...desensitising of marketing, in the same way as we are desensitised by tv violence.

1) The main reason. I'm at work all day and most of the evening I'm doing background stuff on the site to keep it running.
2) It's hard to remain impartial when you become too involved.

Dunno why everyone finds that so odd on this board. There are cliques in real life, too, if folks hadn't noticed! The problems come about with the way the clique behaves sometimes.
