I've always been rather bi-polar when it comes to dealing with rude/arrogant/unhelpful people - as soon as I get a whiff of any kind of the aforementioned behaviour I'm off - maybe i need anger management
I'd like to point out that before that I am always exceptionally polite and well mannered.

oh, and when ordering things at starbucks etc, when i first arrived people behind me seemed to squirm as i took my time deciding what i wanted. No i'm aware of every second... sad, that, i think
