Where in the world??
Having read many of the posts on this forum...I'm thinking not the US!! As much as I would love to try the US on for size, as a single (so, not married to USC), over 40 (just!), female who a mere visitor attraction manager (so not in demand in US), and not a size 0 (but sz 10, which would make me 'outsize' in hollywood!), I'm thinking entry into the USA would be nigh on impossible, unless anyone has any tips....or wants to marry me!
So if not US, where in the world? I am a 'professional' woman, who has been thinking about how to emigrate, or if to emigrate for some time, I don't have any real responsibilities, so the world is my lobster so to speak, except for the damn global recession...Should I just take the plunge? and see what happens?
Any thoughts, advice, friendly tips would be most welcome...

Re: Where in the world??
You are correct, you have very little chance of moving to the US. Have you thought about Canada? It's very similar.
I lived in Canada for a year and thought it was utterly fantastic.
Normally I would advise you to look for work at a Canadian ski resort - they enthusiastically hire foreigners, especially if you have experience in tourism already.
Unfortunately, you need to sort out your visa yourself. If you were under 30 this would be easy.
I am not sure what you need to do to get a visa in your case. I think it's more difficult than it used to be. Pop over to the Canadian forum and have a look.

Re: Where in the world??
I spent several years in Vancouver, BC.
Wonderful place to live and Visas were not so hard to come by (at least then, not so sure about now).
Would recommend it without a seconds thought - especially if you are into the Great Outdoors.

Oz, NZ, SA are other decent options to consider...or just somewhere else in the EU.
Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland are some local countries where the language wouldn't be a major issue, certainly initially at least.
