What are you looking for in price range? My office is not too far from there [one red line stop away].

The Roosevelt is old style Hollywood and is wonderful. FWIW, the FIRST Academy Awards ceremony was held there. It is nearest the Chinese. Also, around the corner adjacent to Kodak Center is the Rennaiscance.

Both are kind of pricy. Look up "TravelHero.Com" and look for "Hollywood CA"

Also, Universal City is one subway stop over the hill from Hollywood.
