Or was your 'box' remark directed at some other connotation? ...

Ah, Saturday afternoons at the match is one thing that I really miss...just a bit homesick at the moment!
Heard good things about that part of the country. Is it cheap out there? What're property prices like?
As far as long term plans; I think we'll be staying here in Wisconsin for the foreseeable future. Have no plans on living back in England...we just have it so good out here. What about yourself? Homesick for Legends, Deep End or roast pork sandwiches yet? Do you make it back to Sheffield much?

I also think it's supposed to be 'boxhead', never heard the term 'squarehead' before. Not that I profess being an expert on the English language, but I've lived in the UK for quite some time so I'm pretty sure I would've come across this term...

In WW11 the derogatory term 'squarehead' was used again, but in the post war years, its use declined - gradually.
To the best of my knowledge there is no such derivative for 'Boxhead'.

Nope - 'squarehead'. The expression originates from WW1. It was a derogatory nickname for Germans, when Germany was the enemy. They supposedly had large, square-shaped heads. Also, it's a name given to a person who is unable to enjoy a sense of humour.
