Go direct to nwa.com for schedules. If youve got time the rates plummet come September. The directs actually start from 07/01 but I didnt think you were flying tomorrow!

Have you looked at the websites for the new budget airlines which are crossing the Atlantic?
The flights these airlines offer which would be most suitable for a New Jersey resident are:
Zoom flies from JFK to Gatwick (also Bermuda!)

Globespan flies from JFK to Liverpool (which is probably more convenient for you than LGW?)

The longer you leave actually booking your flight, the more expensive the fares will probably be.

Manchaster is alway far more expensive than others ... the taxes are higher
We always end up either Virgin or rarely on BAand no matter what wites we look at Virgin or BA sites are always the cheapest ..... Wait till about a month before you want to fly. If you book up thi s early you will always pay full price, We usually save about 50% by waiting till the last possible moment ... I have never paid more than $300 per person on Virgin.
Try Continental from Newark to Heathrow ..... they are sometimes a bit less and the flight are always on Virgin planes.

Right now Zoom is advertising a special of $99 US one way to London from JFK in New York up to and including July 13th if you want to make the trip earlier

Thanks so much, Ill have as good look through them all. I cant do London, we have a baby and its 300+ miles from moms. Couldnt do that and the plane Id have no hair left lol
Unfortunealty we cant go earlier due to the cashflow
I always thought it was more expensive to book later, is this wrong then or does it depend who you fly with? I did look at flights for my mom in January to here, but they seem to be the same as ours.

Flights will be cheaper if you can wait until September...July and August being the most expensive months to fly to the UK...October will be even cheaper. If you book less than 7 days before departure you will also be paying more for the tickets.

I fly from Newark to Manchester...Continental is the only airline flying that route. 2 flights leaving EWR in the evening...2 flights leaving MAN in the morning. I will only use non stop flights...puts hours on the journey if not. There is more choice flying from JFK but I only go from there if I absolutely have to.
