Where to buy beds in US (Arizona)
I did a quick search but couldn't really find anything relevant so thought I'd start a new thread. Soz if it's already been done
So I think we're going to but new beds in the States to avoid all the bedding drama I've been reading about (plus our bed is 10 years old so due to be replaced)
We have a Warren Evans pocket sprung mattress (Sienna - so good quality) that I'm really happy with and I'm wondering if anyone knows an equivalent retailer in the USA that we should look at. We're going to be in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Otherwise I might look at buying a new super king (uk) bed from Warren Evans and shipping that over, as I do love their mattresses and ethos (and then live with the dilemma of sheets being slightly different).
Thanks guys!

Re: Where to buy beds in US (Arizona)
Thanks for the tip, but I'm not sure Vispring is in our budget range <unless they are much cheaper in the US>
We'd be looking to spend a max of £700-800 (and even that seems expensive! )
Any other ideas, anyone? And where is good for kids beds, ie should I just go for a John Lewis bed for them to ship over?

For that kind of budget, I would have a look in a local furniture store (we have Jordan's here in New England which make good stuff) and find a decent enough pocket sprung bed. Good luck!

Beat me to it. We bought an Ikea bed (their SK size) with a mid priced mattress 17 years ago. We replaced the mattress with their top of the range one 2 yrs ago. We'll be shipping out our 4 Ikea beds when we move out to Il. Btw, M&S SK bedding fits Ikea SK

Beds are expensive here...very...for anything nice at least.
Ikea is a good starting point.
Going up in price, Arhaus, Crate&Barrel, Pottery Barn....somewhere in the middle, Jordan's, though they might be a New England thing.
There are probably knock off/over stock type places like Bob's Discount.
Though chances are, you find something, you can also find a small indie shop that'll do you a deal to match and probably get better deals.

That's what we did. We checked prices at three bedding places, two were national chains and one was a smaller independent store. The little indie place spent more time with us and in the end gave us the best deal.

Charles P. Rogers Beds Direct, Makers of fine beds, mattresses and bedding since 1855
You might find something here. They are online and out of New York. We got a platform bed from them and then bought a memory foam mattress locally (I am in Colorado). The styles and quality are better than ikea and I was worried about buying online without seeing in a showroom but I wasn't disappointed.
The memory foam mattress was a tempurpedic knock off for $500 but it's been fine. We will obviously have to change out the mattress every few years but I will love the bed platform forever.

Ok, thanks guys - I might ask some of the people in my husband's new office if there are any local shops they'd recommend.
Also, related question - if we were buying sofas/wardrobes/chest of drawers etc, not Ikea, how long do they take to get delivered? In the UK you're normally looking at a 6-8 week lead time, which always astounds me. Not sure if the US has the same issue...anyone know?

Maybe try Mor, they are a sort of outlet store. Also check out Costco, Overstock and Amazon.

Some places could deliver next day but if it's something they don't have in stock or want a different fabric/colour, it can take a few weeks...but usually within a couple weeks is the norm.
