NY and LA are probably in the top 3 , definitely the top 5.
I've read articles pertaining to this subject before but more World or perhaps European specific as well. As an urbanophile, it saddens me to have seen Chicago lower on the list than I would have liked to have seen it as it probably has the 2nd most active central city in this country.
though it could be perceived as just giving you what NYC does on a smaller scale. it does have a downtown beach though which is pretty cool.
I wonder if DC is in the top 5.
I've seen Orlando in the top 10 in lists and honestly they should just substitute disney world for Orlando. I doubt anyone wants to actually see the actual city of Orlando. well, not many to be precise.
I wonder if Baltimore cracks the top 30???

Are you doing research or are you just curious? I mean... what's the purpose behind the question? What's the criteria for determining what's "most popular"? Size? Total Population? Ethnic Population? Attractions? Liveability? Bike paths? Dog friendly? Cost of living? Public transport? Gambling opportunities?
Without knowing what you're after, it's hard to determine what the top 5 places are.

There's a motel three blocks from me that's used by British tour groups. I worked out which bar they tend to be attracted to (the one with an English name, lol...) and avoid it.

Or alternatively, buy the place next door and turn it into a "British Breakfast Caff", count money, smile.

'The food is so greasy here, isn't it?' and 'Oh the tea, they don't make it properly here, do they, not like at home.'

You'd have to make tea $5 a mug because they'd never tip properly, either...

Many Brits use USA and Disneyworld interchangeably.
