What are these bugs doing in my house?!

What are these bugs doing in my house?!
They look like little tiny weeny ants.
When my husband left a Krispy Kreme box on the floor for half an hour on the bottom level of our house it was infested.
When I dropped a tiny piece from a burnt leaf from some corn on the floor in the kitchen on the next floor up of my house there were several there in half an hour
When we left a tray overnight on the deck at the top of my house the amount of bugs made me scream loudly :scared:
Yet... when my hubby dropped breadcrumbs all over the floor just near the kitchen and didn't sweep them up for two days (
) there are no bugs there, and when I left a plate with the gnawed cobs of aformentioned corn on the floor in roughly the same area as the KK box had been no bugs. What are they and why are they so fussy? I don't geddit.

omg hate creepy crawlies..we don't have that problem in our house maybe coz we have the pest control man come every quarter and spray inside and out....good luck!

I use this....
Ortho Home Defense
You can get it at most DIY/Hardware stores. Works a treat and kills most bugs and it's safe for pets, except Goldfish, so don't let them walk on the kitchen floor.

What are they and why are they so fussy? I don't geddit. They sound like Sugar Ants. Dont leave any food out anywhere, especially anything that is sweet. It's best to keep cookies etc in the refridgerator and always wipe up any spills straight away otherwise you will see a mass of these little creatures devouring the spill. Check your bathroom as well as they will also attack the toothpaste!

Us too...well worth the $$'s if you're as paranoid about bugs as I am.
BTW ants prefer sweet food.

Prior to that they infested my BlackBerry which was a rather odd sight.

Hate ants and all kinds of bugs, went and bought a bunch of ant traps and various sprays to combat an ant problem here. I would suggest getting an exterminator in, if its at all serious, i would insist on it myself from my apt complex but the exterminator is an idiot
