If he calls again, use this line:
"Stop using jesus as an excuse for being a narrow-minded, bigoted asshole."
Then slam the phone down.
Trust me, this guy sounds like my wife's ex, they get a little freakier eventually. Let him go and screw up someone elses life. The best thing you can do is make your life work out here so as to give him the big middle finger to say you can live without him. He's nothing.
I hate people like that.

I have a suggestion......
Go to work and ask your friend to help you get out and socialise more as you find it difficult to meet people as a single woman. Plan something for Friday and go have a great time....
Join a local Gym, and go do an evening class at your local college... great way to meet likeminded people.... Not necessarily male...
Look at it this way.... The green slimey thing that calls himself a man has done you a favor.....
Have a little giggle...... He now gets to be with the slapper that didn't know who she was pregant by.....Has to pay for the child for the next 18 yrs..... All because he didn't have the sense to use a condom! DUH!!!!!! Not to mention he is whining his Mom said he should do the right think... What a looser!!!
You get the freedom from this worm with no guts, and can now move on to have a full and wonderful life... Plus you will now know how to recognise worms like him in the future.....

Personally I'm inclined to think that he'd have more luck accomplishing a secure future for his child by retaining a family law attorney and asking CPS to intervene.
Sorry, the outlook ain't bright, at all imho. I see lots of these cases. So few ever turn around from this kind of scenario the statistic ain't one
Lesley, I applaud you. Just one word of warning. There is a strong possibility that given time (probably not as long as folks may expect) that he'll be back begging at your door. Crying about all his self inflicted woes from the baby's mother etc.
The guy needs therapy and a spine. Instead of trying to turn a decent woman into a doormat.
