They would have laws that did not include the word cheat.

errr....are you suggesting that a different term should be used, like "breaking the law?" instead of cheat?

Or that we should eradicate the concept of cheating in some doublespeakypoo Orwellian manner?

Sounds like most big cities... Thought maybe there was something unique you were going to point out.

Oh I'm sure it's exactly like any other big city...no differences at all.

What do you think?

Just acknowledge that some laws are just about protecting interests, with no real link to morality or justice..

Well money is kind of the big one. Could be a right lazy dipshit, but someone dies and leaves you with a wedge of cash and you don't have a criminal record, it's a done deal.

Location of birth, for the lottery too.

It seems there's a lack of a points based system to allowed skilled workers, who aren't necessary academic or degree bound jobs a chance and it seems a lot of those type of workers are already here, working under the table, which is some what counter productive for the unions etc.

Well since morality and justice are not absolute concepts then all....
Never mind.

I'm not here to discuss philosophy.

You didn't give me anything that doesn't plague other major cities. If you want to say all major cities are dumps, I'd be more inclined to agree with you.

I have experience living in Los Angeles, not so much with the other major cities.

Doesn't really matter to me what you agree with.
With all due respect.

Yes but Bob, that's how they qualify, not bypass.
And I'm not defending or supporting the current immigration laws, just making observation, and cognizant that I and others here are/were beholden to those laws.

Well it's easy to stop it from happening.

Just fine a employer $1M per illegal they hire and it'll stop over night because people won't come if they can't get jobs.

It doesn't because politicians support business, who support cheap labour, but who don't want to upset voters by going about proper immigration reform.

So. Make it illegal to break the law? Sounds like a plan
