The wait goes on......

The wait goes on......
After five phone calls to BCIS, I finally got an agent that recommended opening a case file on my EAD application which I've been waiting on since November 2003.
I've got to call them back in 31 days if nothing comes through the mail in that time and they say that someone should call me about the case.
Sure would be nice to get a job in the US after all this time here. My freelance job in the UK is just about keeping me afloat right now.
I could go and get a temporary work permit, but I can't drive all the way to South Carolina without a drivers license (DMV wouldn't let me have that either).
Hopefully, it should all get sorted within the next few weeks but I've given up holding my breath, I've started turning blue

My mind was already there. You're right, it must be the heat.
Not sure what happens now, so I guess I just need to wait until I hear something. If not, then I'll have to make yet another call.
