Exclamation Viva Las Vegas!!!!!

Soon I'll be going to Vegas for the first time in at least 15 years.

Recommendations? Things to stay away from?

I'm going with my Dad so no nudie shows. But other than that we're pretty much up for anything.

Has anybody done any tours to hit the high spots? Or is that even done in Vegas?

Have never been, but I hear the tour of the M&Ms factory is quite fun! Also, when I was on a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, there were a couple of charter planes over the western end of it, doing tours from Vegas.

We were there last year. Dont miss the fountains at Bellagio, do miss all the Cirque Du Soleil shows Do stay at the Wynn (if your loaded) if not stay at NY NY very nice, dont stay at Excalibur unless you like Arthurian themes and lots of children who do too , Do go to Gallagher's at NY NY for a very good steak, Do gamble at the Stratosphere if you like "Chavs R US" blowing smoke all over you, dont go/stay at Hooters unless you have developed definite lesbian tendencies , Do go to the Hard Rock Hotel its a lot of fun in the evening. Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless you are going with your Dad in which case it probably wont stay in Vegas

Have a great time, wish I was going too..Maybe at Christmas

1 - Tour M&M's factory.

That sounds like fun and my Dad will love it.

Yeah, I'm excited .... I love traveling more than breathing. I don't care if it's across the world or just a short flight. I'm a flying & hotel junkie.

Thanks, pigeon.

It's funny but I had already decided the Circle-Jerk Soleil was definitely not for me.

1 - Tour M&M's factory.
2 - Hard Rock Hotel in the evening.
3 - Gallagher's at NY NY - for a steak.
4 - Fountains at Bellagio (that was already on my list)

We're staying at Treasure Island - that much has already been decided.

My Dad is a lot of fun to travel with and since he doesn't imbibe - I'll be the designated drinker.

I've never read it but I am insane for the movie. Is it that good? Should I pick up the book to read on the plane?

Well if you'd invited me I could have shown you personally.

Hoover Dam...take the tour inside the dam

Grand Canyon tour.

Rent a car and drive out to Death Valley.

You must see Elton John...although if he's not there you could see Celine...that would serve you right for not inviting me.
See 'O' a the Bellagio...a must see.

Several months ago there was a thread about things to do and see in/around Vegas....could have been started by Davy.

Sorry, JG. It's sort of something I just need to do with my Dad - He's hosting a convention for his company and I'm in charge of entertainment. :scared: I think we'll have to stay in the city for the most part. Maybe we could set up a huge BE blowout in Vegas sometime soon?
