Visitor's visa tax question
Does anyone know how many days, total in any one year, one can be in US before becoming liable for tax? I am not intending to work in US but would like to spend a total of 3 x 3 months per year.
Perhaps I should add, I am an expat Brit who has residency in Spain.
Thanks. G

It's a little more complicated than this, but after 183 days the first
year, and then reducing in the second and third years, unless you can
prove closer ties, or can claim a tax treaty position. At 9 months per
year in the US, that's gonna be hard to do.

Re: Visitor's visa tax question
Thanks Stuart .. but you just burst my bubble!
I also have a nasty feeling I would be liable for tax on my world income! Now off to research the double taxation agreement between US and UK .. if there is one.
Thanks again. G
