Visit visa
Hello,
My father who is more than 75 years old, he came to US on visit visa for 6 months entry. During his visit my brother who is a USC, he applied for his green card. After few months we received his approval letter, but unfortunately my mom got sick and my father had to go with her so he overstayed because he was waiting for his green card.
Now my question is, can he come back to US on visit visa (visit visa is still valid till 07) and continue waiting for his green card? Since he overstayed only 2.5 months in US on his earlier visit, is it going to be a problem at the port of entry?
Please let me know if there is a way.
Thanks

Re: Visit visa
Why do you continue to start threads in this forum only to be told to use the Immigration forum?

Re: Visit visa
Presuming he had a B-2 ..its most likely voided now ....
Do not expect to get back in without a return to the Embassy ...
one day overstay is too much

OP is Pakistani, why he thinks most people on this section of the board would have a clue about the ins and out of a Pakistani Visitor Visa is beyond me.
As Ray said the B2 Visa is dead, it is no more, it is an ex Visa.
He would apply for a new one, but with his past history the chances of obtaining one are not good.

Why do you find it difficult to understand that this is NOT an immigration forum?
Post your query in the *US Immigration* forum and you might get some useful responses!

Rightly or wrongly, Pakistani nationals face different, and more difficult issues, when trying to enter the US, compared to Brits. It would seem logical, therefore, to pose your question in a general US immigration forum, not a LIFESTYLE forum aimed at British expats living in the US.
ImmigrationPortal is another forum that might be of use to you. I think a lot of people from the Indian subcontinent post there.
Good luck!

Re: Visit visa
If someone can answer his question then please do so (though I think Boiler and Ray did here) then maybe he won't keep coming back?
Though if he got good advice on the other forum have no idea why he keeps posting
