So how are the folks in the US Embassy in London these days? Some of the rudest people on the planet work there, in my humble opinion. So much so that I went through the effort of getting my last four visas in countries other than the UK.

But at least the visa was approved. We just missed it last October.

Went back to UK last week, I got a good reminder of why I moved. Weather crap (cold+rain), small cars, small rooms/houses, crap showers that dribble, run-down overpriced hotels, expensive, small roads, surly people.... and that was the highlights! It didn't fell like home.

If they don't reply then my boss has to sign off and we file. He is scared of the INS tho, and signing off on this stuff, is afraid he has done something morally wrong... but really, I can honestly say that if these people dont return the questionnaires that I don't think we have.. I think he got a little freaked out when he found out the INS could audit him for up to 5 years too, but as long as we keep all the paperwork it should be fine.
As for if we do get to file, its unchartered territory for me from thereon in. I didn't really expect to confidently get to this point, and my lawyer assures me I have enough time to change status as long as we get a positive response via PERM within 60 days - but my visa is up on October 12 ... so I am not so sure! That's why I am still keeping school as a backup and putting into the motion raising money from my house in the UK.
