Thoughts about this story in the NY Times?

If I had $$$ half a million and desperately wanted to get into the US this would be a pretty attractive deal. But are there really 1,500 people with that kind of cash that they're willing to risk to live in the US?

There are loads of these Jay Peak projects all over the country...one of the benefits of the E5 is not actually having to live where the project investment is being made...

Quick look in the immigration forum and the answer to your question is "yes"...even if getting their investment money back is hard/impossible.
