Default Vending Machine Coffee

I see a lot of ads here for vending 'businesess' - most basically seem to be outlets for machine manufacturers looking to foist their machines at inflated prices on punters looking for an easy buck, rather than businesses as such. Is that a fair assessment or am I being harsh? This is a genuine question....does anyone have any experience on any of these, in particular an outift called The Gourmet Coffee, selling Saeco machines that grind the beans individually for each cup? (I just noticed that our local Starbucks use what look like their machines, rather than a 'proper' espresso machine - so much for 'proper' coffee!) They are doing some presentations here following a franchise exhibition, and wondered whether it was worth an hour or 2, or whether they are as bad as all the rest.......
