Valid UK Passport, Green Card

Re: Valid UK Passport, Green Card
You misunderstand. This 90 day visit program is called the Visa Waiver Program -- it means that for citizens of specific countries (including the UK), the need for a visa is waived.

Re: Valid UK Passport, Green Card
It must have been a very long time ago, because I've been in this forum for 13 years and it's always been a 90-day visa free program (hence the name VWP...Visa Waiver Program...the visa requirement is waived). And it's still the VWP, it just now needs ESTA pre-clearance.
So if there ever was an actual visa needed for a 90-day trip, it was more than 13 years ago.

2: It was then replaced with the Electronic Esta Visa! .....
In any case ESTA did not replace the VWP, ESTA supplemented the VWP with a prescreen check. ESTA was implemented to support the VWP, not replace it.
3: keep your Sarcastic attitude to yourself, keep out if my post !
IIRC the VWP was implemented around 1987-88.

Re: Valid UK Passport, Green Card
Many people in the uk call visa waiver programme which was handed to you on a the plane to fill in before you landed a 90 day tourist visa.
Some airline companies also called this a 90 day tourist visa, my wife works for the airline company for 34 years they called it the same since I knew her !

Same as above. NOT a visa.
1) That's what Pulaski does best and 2) You posted on an open forum, therefore you have no control over who answers or what they say, so no, he doesn't have to 'keep out of your post'.
He's not in your post anyway, he's in the thread you happen to have started!

Then, regrettably, not one of them is aware of what a visa really is!

Cliff,
You have received the information you need, so I am closing this thread.
You probably didn't realize it, but we were educating you on the legal and correct terminology. It's something we all do here.
In the future, please read Site Rules 14 and 15, and use the"ignore" feature as needed.
Thank you,
