US or UK?
Hey
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but let's give it a go.
I was just wondering what peoples view on living in the States compared to England. Workwise, cost of living, quality of life etc
thanks

First off most people here circumstances are very different for various reasons, if you want an good response from people here you have to ask clearly defined questions.......................................

Re: US or UK?
People don't mean to be rude, but the folks here get 100s of questions a day, usually on very specific things (can I move with an E-2 Visa if my form XYZ hasn't arrived?) so when you ask a really, really general question, you get a bit of blowback. "How do you feel about the Sun? Warm, cold, in between?"
If you can narrow down what it is you are looking to find out about, you'll get more detailed responses that might be more interesting. If you want to just see how things are in a very vague and general sense, you'll learn far more by reading a few pages of threads than waiting for answer to your question.

Others miss home, and preferred their life in the UK.
It seems to vary tremendously by individual, type of work, and part of the US.
The US is a very large country, with quite different cultures and circumstances in different parts of the country.

To answer Sheffield, OP had no idea where he wanted to go -- he was mentioning Germany and Brazil at the same time he asked about the US. In addition, he had no easy route here and had not, it seems, considered that his visa might be just a little issue. Such a question shows that the idea has not been developed at all -- it got the reply it deserved.

This thread is six months old, folks. OP is probably shacked up in a brothel in Phuket by now.
