http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Resume-Canada the US is basically the same....and for examples, as mentioned, google them, loads of them, but how you want to tailor the info depends on the job and the field you're in.
Doctor/Science Research you'll have a lot more info on it on follow up pages than someone wanting to offer fries at the McD.
