for a tower though, that AMD chip is pretty decent, it's what I've got running now, works a treat on 3D apps and anything that makes use of the cores...shame my graphics card is a shower of shit though...Prototype just looked like a pile of sludge playing that

Ok - been looking through the deals from the flyers leaked online at blackfriday.org.
The best laptop deal I've seen so far is this Toshiba at Best Buy:
$399 (+tax, obviously)
Very good Intel Core2Duo T6500 processor
3GB RAM

Wireless adapter supports wireless N as well as B/G etc
16" widescreen display
DVD burner
Windows 7
