Yikes I don;t think I'd come over pregnant without a guarantee of medical coverage.
I was lucky to deliver our kids when we had a horrible HMO (who were contracted with a super hospital) but it was 100% covered. Good job too, both boys were C-section both breech neither of which was discovered till I was already in labour, bit late to turn then. So without OH's great employer we'd still be in the hole.

Ooops - forgot, that was just the charges for the baby... Mothers charges were separate, cant remember what they were but was slightly more...
Just hope my insurance covers it - wife's will be covering her...
