Technically, you're meant to carry your passport around at all times...

That said, get the state liquor/State ID, should be easy enough and least hassle of using a foreign license, which might be okay at a pub, but be hassle buying beer in the shops.

Lot's of states don't have a liquor ID, never even heard of one.

I am USC and I don't recall there be any law that states I have to carry my passport with me, majority of USC don't even have a passport as far as I know.

He's talking about foreigners in the US having to carry their passports.

They do have a state ID though, for those who either can't drive or don't drive.

What they call it depends on the state, just like what they call the DMV, RMV, OMV, BMV etc.
