Uninsured Aurora Shooting Victim - Possible $2 Medical Bill
One of the victims of the shooting massacre at the 'Batman' screening in Aurora was shot in the head and is in a medically-induced coma. He is just 23 years old, has lost an eye and has brain damage.
His 21 year old wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy this morning - who knows if the father is aware that he is now a dad?
On top of the tragic circumstances is the fact that the family is likely to have medical bills of around $2 million
I know that hospitals have to stabilize uninsured patients - but this unfortunate young man is likely to need months, years or a lifetime of rehabilitation

In my opinion the powerful pro-gun organisation & lobbyists the 'NRA' (National Rifle Association) should foot the medical bills for all gun victims (then hopefully go bankrupt).

Yes, I read that they are starting a fund for people to donate to. Facing possible financial ruin just adds further insult to injury.

Warner Bros reportedly put $1million into the fund
I work with a girl who was shot while sat in her garden in a gang innitiation drive-by thing. This was around 15 years ago, it ruined her financially and she still can't get credit. Apparantly, there is an insurance fund that is meant to pay for things like this, but getting them to cough up takes years.

Yeah, really scary, sad stuff.
Then you get muppets who were suing the cinema and studio the next day for trauma and damage, when they weren't even needing to visit the hospital.
I'm sure there's a lot of mental trauma, but to sue the next day, while your friend is still in hospital...to sue the studio for making a dark movie. Tad crazy.

The mother of a 23 year old girl that was shot in the brain is also under going treatment for cancer and a fund has been established to help pay for the bills for both.
