The cakes our old neighbours used to get, had the things inside, shipped from their old local bakery down in N.O.

So it seems it's okay to sell food items with toys in them and even to ship them, but just not to import them, but I thought the ban was just about food with toys in them in general rather than just a import ban.

Found Creme Eggs in CVS the other day - not tried it yet though so not sure if it's proper Cadbury's or not...

The ones in CVS are from Canada, inferior quality in my opinion (the wrapping on the egg is hard to read but if you lift the box off the shelf in the store you can see where they are from)

Saying that mind, my kids are happy with them I just keep the British imports for myself

I'm sure if you look at the label its made by Hershey. You can get Hershey made Cadbury's here (at a premium) but getting UK sourced Cadbury's is difficult.

Nope. The White House petition failed to get enough signatures. There is another petition here;

I had no idea they were banned or there was a petition to overrule it.
It's not like it's just inside the chocolate, there's a plastic capsule in the way! Don't really see how it's any different to wrapping on a chocolate bar from a choking hazard...

Just checked out the Cadburys creme eggs I bought back from the UK, they are made in Dublin under license from Cadburys. hmmmmmmm

"we also made a few other changes to make sure Choco Treasure is as tasty as can be for American kids!"

Interesting that they have to change the flavour.
