Default UK State Pension Statement

I'm currently receiving my UK State Pension and would like to obtain an official statement of my payments that I can present to a bank. The deposits appear in my UK bank account, but I need a formal record of my entitlement amount for their purposes. How can I get this?

I thought the International Pensions Dept sent an annual letter detailing your pension for the next tax year? Surely this would do? I get this letter each year (eventually as this is the Philippines!)

They do. Wife and I got ours in the last 10 days. Although it is more a notice of weekly increase than a per annum amount, it gives the full amount for a week so easy to calculate for a full year.

It doesn't tell you what you received in the last UK tax year or the last calendar year. I, for example, got an amount in arrears so the weekly amount x 52 wouldn't work for me for 2023. So I guess the question is, do they send out a specific notification of money received in each UK tax year?

I get my State Pension paid in $ to my US bank account, so the amount varies each four-weekly payment. I keep a spreadsheet of all my payments for US tax purposes. I guess my US bank statements are also a record of what I received.

I don't recall ever receiving the equivalent of a P60 for the State Pension. As it is paid tax free I wouldn't expert too.

That's interesting as neither I nor my wife have had one for at least two years. I wonder if they only send them when the pension changes so we who are frozen in Canada, would never get one.
I must give them a call when I have a day to spare.

I'm sure that is the reason. It is a notice of pension increase. No increase = no letter.

As far as I've found, that level of info is not generally directly available from DWP. It is however sometimes possible to obtain, but it takes some grovelling.

I am currently undergoing a tax audit, with the Belgian FOD asking for statements from my diverse pension providers.

I recently spent 20+ mins on the 'phone with DWP; a very helpful person put the necessary stuff in motion, resulting in the below extract, received 20-odd days later by snail-mail.

Followed by the requested 4-weekly details (including Christmas bonus) but that's for me + FOD, not you lot.

I interpret this as their (DWP) IT systems are not yet up for it, so best stick with using the receiving bank statements for tax purposes.
