My husband has applied for the UK state pension the pension fence have sent back the documents (birth cert and marriage cert). Hubble received an email stating they are processing his claim, does anyone on here know how long this process takes now they’ve confirmed his identity. TIA.

2 or 3 years ago my wife and I each applied a month or so before we were eligible to receive our OAP and in both cases started receiving our monthly checks a few weeks after we hit the eligibility date. No idea what the current processing time is.

Husband applied for his pension in October 2023 for start in Jan 2024. It started in April 2024.....
With half the civil servants still WFH, everything is taking longer.

My husband applied June 2024, a month before he was eligible. He received his first deposit at the beginning of September, including back pay.
