has anyone else heard about this? it's a short course in London one day a week that covers all paed MH obs/gyne specialities to get your clinical and theory hours that the USA requires for the NCLEX. They also assist you with the exam and get you in touch with employers.
if anyones done it please could you share some info? i.e course setup which days etc?

BUT I would ask questions. Each State Board of Nursing has their own requirements, and how much stimulation is acceptable is one area that is frequently debated. The King's video stated that 50% of the clinical time is simulation. This percentage will meet requirements in some states, but not all. For example, Vermont will only allow 25% of the clinical time be simulation."“The clinical component of nursing programs (RN & LPN) is defined as participation in direct nursing interaction with clients. Participation in medium-fidelity* and high-fidelity simulation** is considered a component of clinical experience. No more than 25% of clinical time may be devoted to simulation.†https://www.sec.state.vt.us/media/65...ry-15-2015.pdf
You might want to check with the Board of Nursing in the State where you want to practice and check if this course will meet their requirements.

Hi!
i’ve been in touch with King’s about this course for a while. (They’re probably sick of all my questions to be honest...) I haven’t signed up to it yet because I started a full time Monday to Friday job at the same time as the course started running last year.
But I can tell you that in addition to the scheduled simulations and university days, you will be expected to do placements in the three clinical areas that need topping up.
I’m pretty sure I remember them telling me they developed the course in collaboration with people like CGFNS to ensure they met the minimum requirements.
hope that helps :-)

I've heard about this course and I was just wondering if anyone has done it or is doing it? Also is it actually delivering what it promises?
