Default UK nurse moving to US, CGFNS credential

Hello,
My spouse is a UK nurse looking to transfer her degree over to work as a nurse in the US as we moved back to the states, but we are both having a hard time navigating the CGFNS process.
She, like many have had the same issues that I have read on the forum. She applied for the CP-Rex and after they finally received the transcripts after it was lost in the mailing system, she received a notification that she is lacking requirements. They also put an unrealistic deadline of meeting these requirements with a short timeframe before the application expires and we will have to reapply.
Has anyone had better luck applying for the CGFNS non exam credentialing? She personally knows a few of her classmates that graduated that have applied thru the program and was certified through CGFNS so this is really demoralizing and disheartening for us. It is also shocking that someone who has over 10 years nursing experience working and has a masters in nursing in the UK be unqualified for the US nursing standard.
Are there specific tips and success stories you can share or learned along your journey? Do we have to plan to take top up courses? How long did those courses take and are there any work around that will expedite her to be recognized. If anyone can DM/PM me I would love to chat via email to help reduce the stress and anxiety and look for a positive way forward on this matter.

I sincerely appreciate any and all help and comments. Thanks in advance!

Have no advise but good luck. I had a friend who was a fully qualified midwife and lacation specialist who in the 18 years was here, never managed to get a proper nursing job due to different State requirements. She lived in Texas and New York State. My SIL is currently studying to be a nurse here, and its not easy to qualify. It has taken him 3 yrs doing part-time courses plus working, just to get the pre-requisites required to apply to a nursing program. He is currenlty doing his associates degree at a community college before he is able to do his bachelors. One of my daughter's friends had a degree in Biology, still needed to do a year of pre requistes before being able to apply for nursing school. She was in her late 20's before she was qualified. It's a long process and nothing like the UK.

When I was a practicing immigration attorney, I would consult with one of two colleagues who specialized in immigration for health care professionals. both are still in practice. One had been a Navy Pharmacist Mate in a prior life which was dangerous place to provide medical care.

While not ideal your wife could ,as a temporary first step , use her credentials to get a LPN (licensed practical nurse). Pay is less but not bad and she could take her time getting the RN license. Also would be creating a network of nurses and doctors that could help getting the RN license. In reality LPN’s with good skills do what a RN does just not in a supervisor capacity. What state will you be living in? She could possibly get financial assistance from the hospital that employs her for RN courses.
