So I wonder what that means for those of us with just green cards? At the moment, the missus just shows her drivers licence, and I show my green card, but always bring my UK passport just in case.

Will we be able to just be waved thru, or will it mean non-US or Non-Canadian citizens will have to go to a separate line/booth?

Green card and passport ...

The actual law I believe is that a passport is required but for citizens of the US and green card holders, driver's license and/or green card is enough. However, you could be asked for your passport at anytime and if you don't have it, you can be denied. That is what the proclaimer on the railroad magazine on one of my trips from Montreal back to New York said. Have no reason to believe it is otherwise. The DL and GC usage is just a courtesy.

If you thoughts were true, we would have a problem with drive through as my husband is a Canadian/US citizen and I only hold US citizenship as my health would not allow me to migrate to Canada as a spouse of a Canadian.
