Tucson?
We are busy at looking at places to move to for retirement and have been looking seriously at Tucson. Anybody with experience of living there? Are there many Brits, Aussies or Kiwis there? What about the summer heat? Any suggestions?
We are both mid-50s, live in the Mid-West and costs look OK in Tucson. We really like mixing with people from UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or similar (we must be crazy).

While people here are complaining about rising house prices they still seem fairly reasonable to people who move into the area.
The weather in the summer is the draw back really last summer it hit 115 and that was warm, today is 93 and thats just nice.

We moved to Tucson about 20 months ago, from London, and love the lifestyle and weather. The summer heat is bearable so long as you have aircon and can get up early enought to get outside things done in the morning. The nights are lovely for stargazing and BBQ'ing!
There are quite a few brits, and aussies, out here retired and working.
