I carn't get enough of the things .... scary as all hell but exciting .... I love to stand there and watch the clouds rotating. We had 3 touch down a few Sundays ago, small blighters but they sill tore up some farmers field.
I work at Parson's Manufacturing ....it was completely destroyed by an F4 in 2004

We also had a small earthquake back in 2004, I think it was, popped all the nails in the drywall, I slept through that one

Hope you stay safe! I live a few miles to the West of Oklahoma City and I've watched a few of the blighters myself. Fascinating, but scary. A couple of years ago we had an F3 "hop-scotch" over the house - if it hadn't "hopped" when it did, I shudder to think .... 'course I was in the cupboard with the scotch

We had a tornado hit our apartment complex weeks after we came here and that was pretty scarey. You learn to be weather aware and watch the sky since it can change so very quickly. We live in tornado alley but for some reason didn't take that into account when buiilding the house. We have no safe room and no room that doesn't have an outside wall or window. DUH.
My husband is a storm spotter so once the alert goes out he is on the phone reporting conditions to the met office. While I am huddled in a corner, he is outside taking photos and on the phone. lololol
If your local emergency services do classes on tornado awareness they are well worth going to.

Meanwhile, I would love to have an F1, would be down on my back in a ditch with an F2, and making my peace with G-d with an F3. Gulping down an F4 I would be kissing my ass good bye, and in with the F5 I would be no more. Anyone had an "F6"? I am talking cocktails here.

Havent seen a tornado yet & fingers crossed I wont either but for the third Friday in a row we have been under Tornado Warning for most of the night.
Thankfully once again it seems to have passed us by. Lots of thunder & lightning now but I can live with that. Just hope everyone else is lucky enough to survive without damage or injury.
