That was a lucky guess ! Never worked there but was raised in Thanet so I've always know people who did/do.
Good luck with the interview

Thanks, I'd applied for this job before christmas (spooky timing) so fingers crossed i have my timing perfect!!
There are a lot of people in much worse situations than us who I feel terrible for. It's going to have such a devastating affect on the local area.

Certainly will, not only the direct employment but there are a lot of people via indirect employment that will suffer and the pubs in sandwich too !

If your out and about driving the country side and burbs, look out for the white tail deer!

Due to the built up areas they are getting more people friendly and walking through back and front yards, the be careful bit is when they run out in the roads without notice, they just seem to leap out!

Its a lovely place from what I have seen so far, but thats more out in Hillsdale area, Jonesville and Reading areas where my wife works

OP should probably accurately state what she will be doing on HER trip. She indicated more than checking emails.

JulieTho, you can post a separate question about business activity while on the VWP in the Immigration forum; http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=34

Thanks for getting back to me about this. Basically I'm there to meet the team, go for lunch, dinner and find out about the department. Won't really be a problem not working for a week should be quite a nice change!!
Merely thought I may check my email to ensure I didn't go back to a million from being out of office for a week. Don't imagine this is in breach of VWP.

MI?

Don't they have offices somewhere sensible?

Might want to look into the wiki for relocation advice, it's got a good chunk of info.

Have a look at the state DMV site to get a idea of what stuff might cost getting a car on the road.

Don't forget to add sales tax to stuff that you're looking at.

I think you mentioned Kalamazoo right? There is a huuuge Kelloggs campus near there too, maybe an option for your husband? They even have their own Business Management Uni I believe!
