It's supposed to be primarily US news though with some 'International interests' whatever those are. If I want US news I'll just turn on CNN (and then jump over to the BBC World News to fill in the gaps), much cheaper!

IMHO 'International interests' would be Israel.

It could be anything really couldn't it! If you watch the 'BBC World News' there is hardly ever any stories about Britain (or the US unless it's about George. W!). I know it's called 'World' but it would be nice to see the British news a little more, after all, that's what we're interested in most of the time right?

Before 9/11 I seem to remember that the only 'International news' that was reported was when something happened in Israel. Of course there was Diana's death too.

Re: The Times
We get the Financial Times delivered, it's $99 for a year (Mon -Sat) from QSP
http://www.qsp.com/Store/CatalogItem...logItemId=9218
It's now printed in Chicago so it gets delivered on the correct day, before that used to get it 2 days late!!
It has a pretty good mix of UK & European news.
