That time of year for the medical insurance hikes?
The price hike for us isn't to bad, it's essentially the same this year, but the major and only real difference is our plan that is 90/70 in/out network is dropping to 80/60 which is crap.
The other thing is, previous years if you weren't changing anything about the plan you were automatically enrolled in the same plan tier.
This year they didn't do that, so we almost ended up getting kicked off the insurance, but the missus decided to add eyeballs last minute and noticed that you had to opt to keep current tier/options to maintain them.
Eyeballs was only a $5 extra per adult, just adding me as I need new glasses anyway, so this offers a eye check, x number towards frame and x amount towards lenses, so basically a free pair.
Dental is the same, about $1500 per person maximum with a free check up and cleaning...but it seems they didn't pay the whole amount for cleaning/check up last time so we're having to kick up a fuss.
Total is $ 212 per pay cheque, that's twice a month.

Sounds like you have a great Group health plan. Even when I had a Group plan (for past 4 years have had an individual plan) it was 80/20 share of costs and I thought THAT was good.
Just over $400 a month for the two of you? What's your deductible?
My individual plan was $410 just for me with a $6K deductible ...... and, oh yes, it just got cancelled

Ours went up 5% of which I think 1.5% is the new tax/fee. The policy improved slightly too.

I went through my benefit options a week ago, including medical, optical, dental, life, and long term care insurance, and like-for-like my deductions, are $2.88/mth less than last year, or a drop of just over 2.5%. This is for exactly the same coverage with the same insurance company, and the same deductibles and copays. I can put an extra $100 into my health savings account (HSA) next year, and I took up the offer for a limited dental and vision spending ("use-it-or-lose-it") account so I can save a little more tax and use a little less of the balance on my HSA. Mostly the insurance is for me and Little Miss P, but for some strange reason it works out cheaper for me to pick up Mrs P's dental insurance! Otherwise Mrs P has exactly the same insurance as me she works for the same company.

Mine has dropped significantly and the benefits are better. My current plan is actually no more due to the ACA. Yes, I'm one of those people who didn't get to keep his plan. My cost has dropped from well over $700 per month to $580 so I can't complain (as much).

No deductible on regular healthcare/treatments.
There's only a deductible on emergency care, hospital stay, ambulance use and elective stuff.
$25 co-pay for doctors, $35 for specialist and it's $10/50 for prescription generic/brand, I think. Can't remember exactly the brand one.

Medicare Part B is the same in 2014. My Medicare supplemental and drug plan goes up $9 a month.

My husband's policy has stayed exactly the same as last year - no change in price either.

Still with the evil Aetna and deductible has gone up from $1000 to$1500..
We have our own health care center just for County employees so for simple routine problems like cough, cold, minor injuries etc we don't have to use our insurance but to see Cardiologist or another specialist then insurance is needed.

Mine went up by about $3 a pay but coverage went up and company funding for the HSA part is now 100% on 1/2/2014 rather than on a per pay basis. Dental went down a couple of cents but disability went up a couple of cents and I now have to pay 75c a pay for basic life. So really, a pretty good deal.

Premium dropped around $20 per pay period (bi weekly) deductible remained the same, co pay went down or removed for some things, $1,000 a year more thrown into the HSA by the company = overall I am not unhappy.

BCBS TX up 11% for individual plan that will be continued into 2014 if I want to keep it.
Awaiting for healthcare.gov to be fixed for the new plan comparison.

Family Coverage
Premiums up by about $40 per month to $416
90/10 split down to 80/20.
Individual/Family deductible remain the same at $1500/$3000 but maximum annual out of pocket up from $6000 to $10000.
$300 chucked in Health Savings Account by employer with opportunity to 'earn' more by participating in time consuming annoying 'activities'.
So all in all crap
