Piece of cake! The surprise was that it was all pretty well wrapped up before midnight. (And here I was expecting to stay up a LOT later.)

It's worth saying, I think. The U.S. has now succeeded - twice in fact - in voting into office as head of state a (mostly) non-Caucasian (or perhaps I should say non-white of skin) person. No European country has yet managed to do that, that I can think of. For a country with such a recent past of violent racism, with a fair bit of that past still in the present, that isn't bad.
