Default Texas.

Good afternoon all, I have recently moved back home to the uk from a few years living in Australia. when i was there i worked for an Texan based company, i think now i might have an opportunity to move over there if I where to pursue the idea. I am a 34 year old, with 15 years experience in quarry machinery and most recently in a management role. how are my chances? I have ideas of the visa being impossible to get, any help would be great.

Find an Oil and Gas company in the UK that would be willing to transfer you after a year on an L1. There are a few threads on this kicking around if you do a search.

Are you still working for them now?

I think you can get an L1 if you've worked for a company for 12 of the last 36 months.

Speak to the employer (the one you think you now have an opportunity with) and see which visa they would be willing to sponsor you for. The employer is the one who starts the ball rolling on any work visa you might get, so the first step is to talk to them.
